How do we recruit tutors at IB Tutor?
All our tutors go through a rigorous 3-step recruitment process to ensure the highest quality of IB tutoring.
The Recruitment Process — 3 Steps
CV and LinkedIn profile study
Each tutor provides us with their ID and a CV, which we study thoroughly. Our priority is to carefully check the experience of each candidate in tutoring.
Verification of diplomas and recommendations
We also ask tutors to provide copies of their diplomas (academic degrees, PhD, CAPES, MSc...) and/or certificates (DELF, DALF, CELTA...) as well as letters of recommendation.
Personal interview
To ensure each tutor's motivation and fit with our students' requirements, and to build trust, we meet with every tutor via video call or in person when possible.
3 Types of Tutors
University exchange student
At least 1 year of experience and recent IB graduates. These tutors are often on a university exchange programme.
Experienced private tutors
Extensive experience in tutoring, these qualified tutors have already accompanied and guided dozens of middle and high school students.
PhD and full professors
Their full-time job is based solely on education. These tutors possess a degree in pedagogy and/or a PhD. They are highly skilled professionals.
A trial lesson
Before committing to a tutor, we suggest a trial lesson to allow the student and parents to establish strengths and weaknesses, and have a better understanding of individual needs.
During the trial lesson, the pupil will explain their objectives. It is also an opportunity for the tutor to assess the student's level and propose an adapted study programme.
Satisfaction guarantee
We guarantee to find the right tutor for you; otherwise, we will find someone else at no extra cost.
